Main Material Laying
The main material laying process depends on the type of synthetic running track selected. For example, for a mixed-type synthetic running track, the polyurethane adhesive and rubber granules should be mixed and evenly laid on top of the primer; for a permeable synthetic running track, the permeable polyurethane adhesive should be bonded together with the rubber granules and laid on top of the primer. During the laying process, ensure the material is laid evenly, avoiding areas that are too thick or too thin.
Surface Treatment
After the main material laying is completed, the surface of the synthetic running track needs to be treated. For mixed-type synthetic running tracks, grinding and polishing may be necessary to achieve a smooth surface; for permeable synthetic running tracks, some repairs and cleaning may be required to achieve a cleaner surface.
Line Marking
Then, lines need to be marked on the synthetic track to determine the positions of the starting line, finish line, etc. for track and field events. The marking must be accurate, and the marking material used must match the synthetic track material to avoid problems such as line detachment or blurring.
Maintenance and Upkeep of Synthetic Track
Daily Cleaning
Perform regular daily cleaning of the synthetic track, using soft cloths, brooms, and other tools to remove dust and debris. Avoid using sharp tools to scratch the track surface to prevent damage.
Regular Inspection
Inspect the synthetic track at regular intervals (e.g., monthly or quarterly) to check for bubbling, delamination, cracks, wear, etc. If any problems are found, address them promptly.
Stain Treatment
For stains on the running track, such as oil and mud, use a suitable cleaning agent. However, be sure to choose a mild cleaning agent and avoid using strong acids or alkalis to prevent damage to the synthetic running track.
Repair Work
When serious problems such as blistering, delamination, or cracks appear on the synthetic running track, timely repair is necessary. Repair work requires a professional construction team and equipment, and generally involves methods such as repaving and filling.
Synthetic running tracks are a high-quality sports field material. Although they have some drawbacks, their advantages outweigh their disadvantages. They are widely used in many places, and with proper construction and maintenance, their good performance and long service life can be ensured.
